Session Description
According to recent reports, the Metaverse will add an additional $40 billion into sub-Saharan Africa’s gross domestic product within the next decade, but how will the Metaverse work within the region and what will it actually bring to Africa’s economy? Is it just hype or is this the new digital future? This session will explore the huge potential economic growth and impact that the Metaverse could bring Africa, but will also look at the major hurdles that could slow that progress such as cost of mobile data, consumer appetite and the availability of Virtual Reality Headsets.
