Speaker Bio
Geoffrey M. Kayijuka is the Programs Director at CARE International in Rwanda, bringing over 20 years of experience in both development and humanitarian contexts. He has served with CARE Rwanda for 11 years in various leadership roles, contributing significantly to programmatic excellence and organisational growth.
Geoffrey is deeply passionate about social inclusion, gender justice, and the empowerment of women and girls. His expertise spans leadership, program and project design and management, capacity building, strategic planning, financial management, administration, and results-based monitoring and evaluation.
He has a strong track record of collaboration with national counterparts, including government institutions, implementing partners, international NGOs, and development partners in Rwanda. Geoffrey is recognised for his excellent communication and relationship management skills, which have been instrumental in fostering effective partnerships and driving impact.
He holds a Master of Science in Public Health (MPH) from Mount Kenya University and a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Demography and Population Studies from Kigali Independent University. Geoffrey is fluent in English and has intermediate proficiency in French.
