Do I require a visa to enter Rwanda?
Citizens of countries that are members of the African Union, the Commonwealth or the La Francophonie can obtain a visa on arrival and are exempt from visa fees for stays of up to 30 days.
Citizens of East African Community member states are issued a pass/entry visa free of charge upon arrival, for a stay of up to six months.
The following countries are granted a 90-day visa on arrival, free of charge: Angola, Benin, Central African Republic, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, The Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis, Ghana, Guinea, Indonesia, Haiti, Mauritius, Philippines, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome and Principe, Singapore and Qatar.
Citizens of all countries that are not visa exempt may apply for a visa either online or through a Rwanda Diplomatic Mission in their country of residence before departure. Online applicants have the option to pay the fee online or upon arrival.
Please be aware that there are no authorised agents permitted to apply for a Rwandan visa on your behalf. Unauthorised agents may mislead you and charge more than the official visa fees.
Please note that the visa fees must not exceed USD 50 for a single-entry visa or USD 70 for a multiple-entry visa.
