Session Description
Africa is entering a new phase of digital expansion driven by Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite systems that offer reliable, low latency connectivity across terrains historically underserved by terrestrial networks. As demand for bandwidth intensifies, LEO networks are becoming a transformative alternative for households, businesses, and public institutions.
The ability for standard mobile phones and IoT devices to connect directly to satellites without specialised antennas or terminals has dramatically expanded access and opened new pathways for growth in different sectors.
This session will explore infrastructure readiness and operator partnerships required to unlock widespread adoption.
