New for 2026

We’re proud to launch The Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards at MWC26 Kigali. The GLOMOs Africa mark the first edition dedicated to Africa and celebrate the innovations driving the continent’s digital future.

Presented by the GSMA at our flagship MWC Series event in Barcelona, the GLOMOs are the industry’s most prestigious accolade. This inaugural African edition brings that global credibility to the region for the first time; recognising organisations delivering real impact across Africa’s mobile ecosystem.

Submissions open on 9 March 2026 and close on 30 April 2026.

The awards categories

For its debut year, GLOMOs Africa will honour excellence across two focused categories:

Digital Innovation for Africa’s Real Economy Award

Recognising solutions that power growth across key sectors such as agriculture, logistics, manufacturing, energy, health and financial services — driving productivity, resilience and inclusive economic transformation.
Closing the Mobile Internet Usage Gap in Africa – Innovation Award
