Justine Umutoni is an agricultural economist at the Alliance bioversity international& CIAT specifically in CGIAR Hub for Sustainable Finance (ImpactSF), where she helps scale climate adaptation Agri-SMEs including agritech solutions that build resilient food systems. Her work bridges climate science and finance, from developing resilience KPIs and impact assessments to designing tools that enable Agri-SMEs to adopt climate-smart business models.
At ImpactSF, Justine supports pre-investment screenings and capacity building, co-designing training programs that unlock finance and accelerate the adoption of high-impact innovations. With expertise in agricultural policy, trade, and investment structuring, she is passionate about using data-driven insights to transform agriculture, empower farmers, and deliver scalable resilience across Africa.
