Speaker Bio
Fatou Sow Kane is a recognized Senegalese leader in the telecommunications sector. Since December 2022, she has held the position of General Director of Expresso Sénégal, a subsidiary of the Sudatel Group.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in private law from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, obtained in 2001, and continued her studies with a master’s degree from the IAM Group, as well as a certificate from INSEAD. Her professional career began in 1999 at Philip Morris International. In 2000, she joined Millicom, and then joined Expresso Sénégal in 2008. Within this company, she has held various positions of responsibility, including Chief Enterprise Business Officer and more recently Chief Strategy and Business Planning Officer, before being appointed to lead the company.
As the first woman to lead Expresso Sénégal and the first female CEO within the Sudatel Group, Fatou Sow Kane is determined to revitalize the company by providing an exceptional customer experience and developing new products and services. She also emphasizes improving service quality, marketing and communication, as well as the company’s geographical expansion.
Under her leadership, Expresso Sénégal adopts a strategy focused on innovation and digital transformation, aiming to position the company as a key player in the telecommunications sector in Senegal and the sub-region.
