Dr. Alice Muhuhu is a doctor in training and founder of Aurora Health Systems, a medical technology company innovating in cardiology and maternal care. Aurora Health’s innovation journey takes a differentiated approach by combining medical technology with clinical support infrastructure to deliver home-grown solutions that can be scaled across low-resource settings in Africa. By embedding diagnostic tools designed to overcome the cost barrier, Aurora has demonstrated measurable impact, earning more than eight awards in the past 18 months for its role in bridging the digital divide in lower-middle-income countries.
Alice Muhuhu studied medicine (MD) at St. George’s University Grenada, West Indies and University of Nairobi School of Medicine, Kenya. She has also completed short course training in cardiology at the University of Warsaw in Poland.
She is deeply passionate about medical research and became one of the youngest female scientists to publish in the Africa Cardiovascular Journal 2023 for her research in remote monitoring technology. Her main goal is to create a measurable impact in research and diagnostic medicine in Africa.
