Session Description
Organized by Smart Africa and the Coalition for Digital Africa (CDA) in collaboration with ICANN and AFTLD, this capacity-building and peer-learning session will strengthen the ability of governments, lawmakers, and regulators to manage and secure critical Internet infrastructure — notably DNS and country-code Top-Level Domains (ccTLDs).
Participants will explore successful national models for reclaiming domain sovereignty, integrating DNS governance into national digital strategies, and aligning with global standards for resilience, cybersecurity, and cross-border data flows.
The session will contribute to building Africa’s digital sovereignty and support ongoing frameworks such as CAIGA and WSIS+20 outcomes.
