Session Description
How can real digital progress be measured, and what explains the differences in performance across markets? Drawing on insights from the GSMA’s Digital Africa Index, this session examines which countries are advancing fastest, where gaps remain and the factors shaping progress across consumers, businesses and governments. The discussion focuses on what is genuinely driving results — from regulatory approaches to investment environments — and where current policies, market conditions and investments are enabling digital growth or falling short. By linking data to action, the discussion identifies the priority steps needed to translate digital readiness into tangible economic outcomes, such as productivity gains and job creation.
