Deepak Mohapatra is the Senior Officer – Business & Market Development at the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE), the leading global business association driving the deployment of decentralised renewable energy (DRE) solutions to advance energy access and the energy transition in emerging markets.
At ARE, Deepak collaborates with over 200 member organisations and a wide network of international and local stakeholders to strengthen market ecosystems, foster strategic partnerships, and create enabling environments that empower private sector innovation and investment in the DRE space worldwide.
Prior to joining ARE, he worked as a Project Coordinator at the German NGO Lernen – Helfen – Leben e.V., contributing to grassroots-level energy and development projects.
He holds a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Management from TH Köln – University of Applied Sciences, Germany, and a Bachelor’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), India.
