Agwu Nwoke is the Industry Security Programme Director at the GSMA, where he leads global initiatives to strengthen the cybersecurity posture of the mobile ecosystem. In this role, he works closely with mobile network operators, regulators and industry partners to address emerging threats, foster collaboration and drive the adoption of best practices across the telecommunications sector.
Acknowledged as a trusted leader in cybersecurity, Agwu brings a unique blend of strategic insight and operational expertise. Prior to joining the GSMA, he held senior roles including Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) , Partner - Head of Cybersecurity and Head of Security Consulting across a range of global enterprises spanning advisory, consulting and technology services, where he advised organisations on building resilient security programmes and navigating complex threat environments.
Agwu’s experience spans mobile network operations, cybersecurity governance and industry engagement across corporate, public, non-profit and association sectors. At the GSMA, he plays a pivotal role in convening CISOs through global roundtables and forums, enabling peer-to-peer knowledge exchange and shaping the future of mobile security.
