Career Path & Experience
Has been with Ethio Telecom for about 19 years
Prior to serving as CISO, held roles such as IT Services Transition Officer, IN Manager, IN/OCS Engineer, and other technical/engineering roles in Ethio Telecom.
Became CISO of Ethio Telecom around November 2020
Oversees the company’s information security posture, risk management, fraud prevention and related cybersecurity strategies.
Contributions & Public Role
Under his leadership, Ethio Telecom has pursued compliance with key information security standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) initiatives. For example, Ethio Telecom publicly displays its ISO 27001:2022, PCI DSS, and CSA certification efforts
He has emphasized the importance of cybersecurity awareness, protecting customer privacy, and safeguarding digital banking systems in Ethiopia as digital usage rises.
