Jean Claude has over 12 years of experience in financial services. Prior to joining Airtel Rwanda, he served as Commercial Director Equity Bank Rwanda’s national electronic payment processor, Rswitch, delivering interoperability and transaction processing services to financial institutions
He steered the company through its first ever EMV certification as third-party processor for key international card schemes such as visa and China Union Pay among
He led Rswitch through several certifications for PCIDSS compliance ensuring highest security standards for partners in the financial service sector.
A digital payments enthusiast who pioneered Mobile Financial services in Rwanda with the launch of the first mobile money service with MTN Rwanda.
Jean Claude Gaga holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Services Management from the University of Salford, UK. He is a member of the EAC, COMESA, SADC on the establishment of the tripartite cross border retail payments scheme.
