Speaker Bio

Mr. Omar Seghrouchni, whom His Majesty King Mohammed VI has appointed as President of the National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (CNDP), is a graduate of the Mohammedia School of Engineers and holds a postgraduate diploma (DEA) in Mathematics and Automation from Paris IX University – Dauphine and the École des Mines de Paris.


Born on 24 October 1962 in Rabat, Mr. Seghrouchni also holds a Master’s degree in Diplomacy and Strategy and a Master’s degree in Economic Intelligence. He began his career in 1988 in France as a research engineer at the National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (INRIA), before heading the Real-Time Computing Laboratory at the Higher Institute of Electronics of Paris (ISEP).


Since 1998, Mr. Seghrouchni has held several senior management and leadership positions within major consulting firms and companies specializing in information systems architecture. He has led several major digital transformation projects, both in the private and public sectors, in France and Morocco. Mr. Omar Seghrouchni, who has been a member of the CNDP since August 2010, is married and fathers two children.
