Mandisa Mazibuko

BCG, Managing Director and Partner

Speaker Bio

Mandisa Mazibuko is a Managing Director and Partner at BCG's Johannesburg office and a core member of the firm's Telecoms, Consumer, and Financial Institutions practices.

With a career spanning Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the US, Mandisa advises telecommunications, consumer retail, and financial services organisations on strategy, commercial growth, and digital transformation. She is deeply passionate about digital inclusion and the role that next-generation networks can play in bridging connectivity gaps — particularly for rural and underserved communities across Africa.

Her conviction is personal: growing up in rural South Africa, she has experienced firsthand how access to connectivity and digital services can transform people's lives, regardless of their starting point.

A regular voice at the world's leading connectivity forums, Mandisa has moderated sessions at both MWC Barcelona and MWC Kigali over the past three years. At MWC Barcelona she led the discussion on whether 5G truly is a future for everyone — interrogating who gets left behind as next-generation networks roll out. At MWC Kigali she has moderated sessions on 5G deployment in Africa, satellite-enabled rural connectivity, and closing the digital divide. These conversations have consistently centred one question: how does the industry ensure that the promise of advanced connectivity reaches those who need it most?

At MWC Kigali 2026, Mandisa brings that through-line to the Main Stage, moderating Sensing the Future: How Future Networks Will Perceive, Predict and Protect — exploring what 5G Advanced and the path to 6G truly mean for Africa, not just as a technology evolution, but as infrastructure for inclusive growth, environmental intelligence, and long-term resilience.

Mandisa holds a BSc Civil Engineering from the University of Cape Town and a MEng Engineering Management from Duke University, obtained as a Fulbright scholar.
