Session Description
Digital Financial Services (DFS) are now central to Sub-Saharan Africa's economic participation – how do we make sure that participation is safe, fair and informed? Our panel of experts will examine how investments in privacy and security shape uptake and usage of DFS, especially for women and other marginalised groups. We will discuss how financial education, when tailored and contextualised, empowers users to confidently navigate the DFS ecosystem, manage risk and build resilience. Finally, the session will spotlight cross-border payments as a growth lever, particularly for migrants, small traders and regional economic integration.
Drawing on insights from pilots, industry innovation, and policy developments, the session will provide a multi-stakeholder perspective on what it takes to close the financial inclusion gap and turn access into meaningful impact.
