Manuel Vergez is an international business development and growth executive with more than 30 years of experience leading go-to-market strategies, strategic partnerships, and regional expansion across Africa and Latin America. Specialized in digital infrastructure, fintech ecosystems, telecoms, and digital identity, he has built and scaled business operations in complex and fast-growing markets.

Currently Regional Director Africa at Famoco, Manuel leads the development of secure Android-based solutions dedicated to digital identity, KYC, payments, and field operations across multiple African regions. He has successfully structured Famoco’s expansion strategy in East and Southern Africa, Nigeria, and Egypt, while developing a strong network of channel and system integration partners throughout the continent.

Prior to this, Manuel held several leadership positions at IDEMIA / Oberthur Technologies, where he played a key role in building and scaling operations across Latin America within the telecom, banking, and government sectors. He managed multicultural teams and contributed to the creation of multi-million-euro regional businesses.

Throughout his career, Manuel has developed recognized expertise in fintech ecosystems, digital identity, B2B/B2G growth strategies, distribution networks, and strategic partnerships. He regularly speaks on topics related to financial inclusion, digital transformation, emerging market expansion, and the evolution of secure digital infrastructures in Africa.

A native French speaker, Manuel is also fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
