Africa Ignite Hackathon – Winners' Showcase: Network APIs in Action

Africa's developer community is already building the next wave of network-API-powered solutions, and this showcase brings the 3 most promising ones to the MWC Kigali stage.

The Africa Ignite Hackathon challenged developers, startups, and innovators across Sub-Saharan Africa to build production-ready solutions using CAMARA APIs and programmable network capabilities. Over 200 ideas were submitted and more than 70 prototypes rigorously evaluated by industry experts, with the strongest solutions tackling fraud in mobile money, rural and agricultural connectivity, emergency healthcare access, urban mobility, and SME digital onboarding, each grounded in the realities of African markets.

In this session, the Top 3 teams will share the winning pitch of their solutions to live audience of mobile network operators, technology enablers, and ecosystem partners.

For telcos and technology enablers, this is more than a showcase. The hackathon provides a direct insight into Africa's developer ecosystem and real-world solutions for real-world problems. You will see which APIs developers are reaching for, where the use cases are originating and which solutions are ready to be piloted, integrated, or scaled across markets.
