Session Description

AI continues to emerge as a powerful engine for Africa’s development, reshaping economies, modernizing public services, and improving lives across the continent. But for AI to truly serve Africa, it must be built with Africa’s realities, values, and voices at its core.

In 2025, the imperative is clear: AI must be developed for Africa, by Africans. This means addressing algorithmic bias, bridging data gaps, and building inclusive systems that reflect the continent’s rich cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic diversity. The telecommunications sector has a valuable role to play in realising this for Africans, providing the local data, knowledge and trusted relationships with consumers and the wider ecosystem to deliver tailored AI that works for people and society.

Join leading AI thinkers, technologists, and changemakers as they share bold strategies to eliminate bias and ensure Africa's AI revolution is equitable, empowering, and driven from within. Discover how inclusive AI innovation can become a cornerstone of the continent’s digital future.
